My dog absolutely LOOOVES her carry in this. She is only about 5lbs (& she has a lot of hair lol) and she can sit perfectly in here. It definitely took some time to get used to the feel once there’s weight in the pouch (since it is otherwise really lightweight), but once we found our groove I immediately appreciated the concept. I love to walk but I can’t ever go far if I take my dog with me so this was the perfect solution for us!!

WHAT IF...

my pup’s about 10 pounds… will this work?

Short answer: probably not.

The SUSU Sling is intentionally designed for Toy Dogs between 3–8 lb (1.4–3.6 kg).

At around 10 lb, most pups are simply too big or too long-bodied to sit safely

and comfortably inside the pouch.

If your dog is around 10 lb or more, we don’t recommend the SUSU Sling. We’d recommend you choose a different style of carrier than end up with a so-so fit or a pup who isn’t truly comfortable.

can i throw it in the wash?

Yes — with care.

The SUSU Sling is made with a quilted, silk-soft nylon exterior and smooth lining that’s

easy to clean:

• Spot clean small messes with a damp cloth and mild soap.
• For a deeper clean, use a gentle machine wash on cold inside a laundry bag.
• Lay flat or hang to air dry.
• Do not bleach, iron, or tumble dry on high heat.

Always check the care label inside your sling for the most accurate instructions.

my pup is in the bag, is it secure in there?

As long as your pup is within the 3–8 lb range and wearing a harness, Yes:

• The deep pouch design keeps tiny pups sitting inside the sling, close to your body.
• The adjustable drawstring lets you snug the opening to your pup’s size.
• The built-in safety tether clips to your dog’s harness to help prevent sudden jumps or slips.

Always clip to a harness (not a collar), and keep a hand near your pup when you’re in

crowded or high-traffic areas.

what if my pup doesn’t take to it right away?

Totally normal — especially for shy or sensitive toy dogs.

Try this:

1. Introduce it at home – lay the sling open on the sofa or floor and let your pup sniff it.
2. Add something familiar – place a favorite blanket or toy inside.
3. Start low & short – sit on the couch, gently place your pup in the sling, and reward with treats.
4. Take micro-walks – once your pup is relaxed at home, add short walks in quiet areas before heading into busier streets.

Most pups warm up quickly once they associate the sling with being close to you and getting treats.
